Originally from Granada (Spain), Gustavo Lopez Mañas studied photography and Fine Arts in the University of Granada. Now he is based in London. Gustavo’s photographies combine fantasy with a dark edge, a look that has led to his success in the photographic community. His talent for creating expressive images that push technological boundaries has quickly made him one of the industry’s most sought after talents.

His photographs have been included in numerous group exhibitions including Photo Mode Festival in Cannes 2011. He has realized advertising campaigns for a variety of clients, including Burberry, Land Rover, Honda, Mini, Alianz, Massimo Dutti, Schwarzkopf and Revlon.

Gustavo has worked as unit and special photographer over 15 film and numerous TV productions.
His work has been featured on Empire Magazine and in others national magazines and newspapers. He has created a unique portraits work on some of today’s celebrities including Rober De Niro, Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, Toby Jones and Geraldine Chaplin.

His first book, “CARMILLA” was published in 2005 and It had been awarded with the National Gold Lux Awards of professional photography. His recent exhibition, FORTUNY featuring a selection of 40 images from his campaign of III Fortuny Catwalk . He is currently working on a second book.

Gustavo also moved five years ago firmly into the world of moving image, he is directing music videos and fashion films for clients such as Universal Music, Sony Music, Revlon and Massimo Dutti to name a few.
